Imagine communicating with a horse so subtly that someone watching can’t see your ask. Having the confidence to make your own decisions, the knowledge to understand what your horse is telling you, and the freedom to develop a partnership that goes far beyond riding. At ALEA, this is what we teach.
We view horses as partners, not equipment. Building trust is a personalised process, not a standardised one.
You are paired with an ALEA horse who works with only you on your days, fostering a consistent and meaningful partnership. Through behavioural science, horse/human biomechanics, and human psychology, you will transcend basic horsemanship - you'll learn to communicate with horses in ways you may never have thought possible. You will study your horse’s neurobiology, decoding their unique communication cues, cognitive preferences, and subtle shifts in their nervous system. This evidence-based approach honours the horse as an equal partner, elevating your practice through intentional groundwork, biomechanics, ethical husbandry, and mindful aftercare.
True horsemanship reflects your internal state. By applying psychological principles such as nervous system regulation, somatic breathwork, and emotional anchoring, you will learn to manage your emotions and become a stable, reassuring presence for your horse.

True Autonomy: Our highly experienced horses are empowered to say "no." We don't train them to follow a whip; they choose to stay because of mutual trust.
Choice Over Coercion: Liberty does not start when the rope comes off; it starts with whether the horse has a real voice and the freedom to walk away.
Not Just 'No Rope': Liberty isn't a performance or a trick to look good on social media. It is a sophisticated diagnostic tool rooted in equine cognitive science.
Asking "Do They Choose to Stay?": Because the horse is physically free to leave, the relationship relies entirely on how the horse experiences being with the human.
Listening to Feedback: If a horse disconnects or leaves, it is viewed as communication (confusion, fatigue, or disinterest) rather than disobedience.

Private 1on1 Mentoring
For a completely tailored, premium experience focused entirely on your individual progression, biomechanics, and emotional anchoring.

Guided Part Leases
Once you have achieved level 3, join us once, twice or three times per week with your horse - become more and more independent until you are getting ready under your own steam, warming up effortlessly answering all your horse’s questions and then head with us to the beach, doing dressage, obstacle courses, jumping, pole work and so much more! Participate in show days and so much more. A true community of like minded souls coming together in their love of horses and being better than we were yesterday.
For advanced horse handlers/riders we have lessons and practice session packages.
